Events All Year Round in Estes Park

Year-Round Events in Estes Park

There is always something happening in Estes Park, no matter the season. Here are just a few of the favorites, with many more on the calendar throughout the year.

Winter

Kick off the year with the First Peoples Festival in January, a celebration of Indigenous culture, art, music, and storytelling, then watch horses and skiers team up at Skijor Estes Park in late January. February brings the Wine & Chocolate Festival, with tastings at the Estes Park Events Complex, and in March the Whiskey Warm Up pours samples from dozens of Colorado distilleries along the riverside plaza.

Spring

April is for Bigfoot Days, one of the country's largest Bigfoot festivals, with a free gathering at Bond Park plus races, guests, and film screenings. In May, cheer on thousands of rubber ducks at The Great Estes Park Duck Race, a beloved Rotary Club charity tradition on the river.

Summer

Summer heats up with the Rooftop Rodeo in July, a pro-sanctioned rodeo and one of the highest-altitude rodeos in the country.

Fall

September brings the Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival, a premier Celtic celebration with Highland games, pipe bands, and the International Tattoo, followed by the Autumn Gold Festival with beer, brats, and live music at Bond Park. In October, the Elk Fest honors the elk rut with a bugling contest, wildlife exhibits, and Native American performances.

These are just a few highlights. New events pop up all year, so check the Estes Park events calendar before your stay to see what is on during your visit.
