Perfect for your family vacation or artist`s retreat, this home is a beautiful one mile walk from the park where you can hike for miles, and it is a short walk to the shuttle pick up spot close by. There is no need to drive or deal with traffic from this private yet accessible location. You will feel as though you are taking a step back in time as you enter this historic cabin in a beautiful alpine setting, but know you will be greeted with all of the modern amenities to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Featuring a large master bedroom with one queen bed, a twin bed, a lovely sitting area and artist`s corner, one smaller bedroom with a twin bed, and an additional sleeping area, this home comfortably sleeps five. There are two bathrooms and a laundry room. There is a covered outdoor seating area and a wraparound deck from which you can breathe in the fresh air, view abundant wildlife and native birds, take in the mountain views, and feel as though you are a part of the wilderness. Watching storms coming and going over the mountains and the sun rising and setting on majestic Longs Peak will be experiences you won`t forget. Additionally, a croquet court lit by lanterns and a wonderful natural stone picnic area are perfect for family fun! Located just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park where outdoor adventure awaits, and a short jaunt into the town of Estes Park which offers shopping, great restaurants and activities for all ages, this cabin will be perfect for your Rocky Mountain vacation.

The summer time in Estes Park is extremely busy; traffic congestion can make getting around challenging.  The Town offers a free shuttle and there are shuttle stops all over town.  You can use the free shuttle to get to town as well as Rocky Mountain National Park through the visitors center.  In the Winter, the town is much slower and the shuttle does not run; a car would definitely help.

The place comes loaded with tons of books and games, outdoor swings, croquet .. not to mention nature. We used the grill for every meal that we cooked at home, and the restaurant right down the street — Bird & Jim — was delicious. We walked to the National Park entrance and the visitor's center, ate breakfast with deer and elk and birds and chipmunks in the front yard, and had ourselves a beautiful little time. Everything was helpfully labeled, and any questions I had were quickly answered by the property manager. 10/10 recommend." (10/5)
