Rocky Mountain National Park is a local treasure.  The Park was dedicated over 100 years ago and is impressive to visit.  The Park offers 355 miles of hiking trails, 150 mountain lakes and the famous 14er, Longs Peak.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Estes Park is only minutes away from RMNP. There are two stations accessible from Estes Park. One station is called the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station where you can find out more about Rocky Mountain National Park at the Visitors Center.  This station is off Highway 66 Bypass/Moraine Avenue - approximately 2 miles south west of downtown.  The second station is called the Fall River Entrance Station which is approximately four miles to the west of Estes Park.  There is also a parking area for hiking at the Wild Basin trailhead which is approximately 19 miles to the south of  Estes Park on highway 7.

There are plenty of events in Estes Park year round. Some of the events are Estes Park Winter Festival (January), Wine and Chocolate Festival (February), Whiskey Warm up (March), Big Foot Days (April), Estes Park Duck Race (May), ect.. These are just a few, there are many more events throughout the year!

Hiking Trails

Estes Park is a beautiful mountain town with tons of hiking trails. Hiking trails in and around Estes Park require different skill levels. Coming to the mountains is a perfect time to explore and see all the amazing outdoors. There are over 700 trails you can choose from. Keep in mind there is risk of dehydration and elevation sickness, drink lots of water and take things slow.
